How to I RSVP?

Please RSVP here on our website by navigating to the "RSVP" tab at the top right of the menu. You will be prompted to enter your name, where you may RSVP for all members of your party for each event. Please submit this by June 1!

How do I get to Highlands, NC?

Highlands is a small mountain resort town in southwestern North Carolina. For those guests flying into the area, nearby airports include Asheville Regional Airport (1.5 hour drive), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (2.5 hour drive), and Charlotte Douglas International Airport (3 hour drive). Ubers and Lyfts are not available in the area so a car/carpooling is necessary for personal transport. Please take extra care and caution driving on the mountain roads as you approach Highlands!

Where should I stay?

We have room blocks reserved at The Old Edwards Inn and their sister property, 200 Main, both located in downtown Highlands. We have limited space at each of these hotels, so we ask that you please contact Taylor or Drew if you are interested in booking. There are a number of other boutique hotels in Highlands that you may choose to book at if our room blocks are full. For those guests who may be on a tighter budget or want access to additional amenities, we recommend looking at Airbnb or VRBO options in the walkable area! More information about hotels and Airbnb options may be found under the "Accommodation" tab.

How do I get to the venue?

Our venue, The Farm at Old Edwards, is located at 336 Arnold Road, Highlands, NC. It is a quick 5-minute drive from downtown Highlands. There is limited parking for personal vehicles, so we will be providing a shuttle service between downtown Highlands and venue beginning at 3pm and ending at 11pm with stops at The Old Edwards Inn (16 Church Street) and 200 Main Hotel (200 Main Street). Most hotels and Airbnbs we have recommended are within walking distance of this pick-up/drop-off location. If you plan to drive from your accommodation, please plan to park in downtown Highlands and use the shuttle to travel to the venue. ***Please note again that Uber and Lyft do not operate in Highlands.*** Contact information for private transport services can be provided upon request.

What should I wear? What is "Garden Party Formal"?

For the ceremony and reception, women wear should wear midi or maxi-length dresses. Men should wear suits with ties. Light, breathable, and flowy fabrics, patterns, texture and color are encouraged!

Will events be held indoors or outdoors?

Our late afternoon ceremony will be held outdoors in the orchard, while cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors. Guests will need to walk on grass to take their seats, so thin heels are not recommended. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held indoors.

What will the weather be like?

Sitting at over 4,000 feet above sea level, Highlands enjoys relatively mild summers compared to the rest of the South! For July, the average high temperature is 78 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average low temperature is 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Pack light layers and watch the rain forecast as the wedding day gets closer.

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list intimate. The name of each guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

We love your children, but unfortunately we cannot accommodate guests under the age of 18. If any exception is to be made, if will be listed clearly on your invitation.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

We want to keep all of our guests fed and fueled to dance the night away! Please be sure to let us know if you have dietary restrictions and/or allergies when your RSVP, so we can make accommodations. All food will be clearly marked for allergens and other restrictions for your safety.

Why are you getting married on a Friday?

To spend more time with you! Many of our guests are traveling in from out-of-town and we want to make sure that we all have time to rest, relax, and celebrate without worrying about a flight the next day. Arrive by Thursday evening to enjoy a welcome party for all guests, celebrate our love story on Friday, and continue the party into Saturday stress-free! Highlands has so much to offer, from hiking to swimming, golfing, shopping, eating out, and relaxing at the spa. We want everyone to have an opportunity to spend time with loved ones and make the most out of your travel.
